Quality Control

Quality, Excellence, and Drug Safety are the core values of the Quality Control Division at Arwan Pharmaceutical Industries Lebanon s.a.l..  Quality Control is emphasized at all stages of production, starting with the selection of raw material suppliers through to the safe distribution of finished drugs to end users. This is achieved through:

Inspection, testing, monitoring and release of raw and packaging materials, and bulk, in-process and finished drug products.
Limiting selection of raw materials to those with referenced pharmacopeia, for use in the manufacturing of Arwan products.
Microbial environmental monitoring during all phases of production to ensure that product safety and efficacy remain unaltered.

The Quality Control Division at Arwan implements accelerated and continuous effective training for its personnel through providing a range of Learning and Development (L&D) Programs. These programs ensure continuous technical training that builds QC personnel capabilities needed for the delivery of QC core values and business excellence.

The Quality Control Division consists of three laboratories:

1- Microbiology Laboratory
The Microbiology lab is responsible for the testing of raw materials and finished drug products using various techniques, such as sterility, endotoxin, antibiotic assay and microbial limit test to ensure materials meet predefined specifications. The laboratory also administers the Microbial Environmental Program during all phases of production.

2- Chemistry Laboratory
The Chemistry lab is responsible for the testing of raw materials, in-process and finished drug products utilizing various analytical tests that ensure materials meet predefined specifications.

3- Physical Attribute and Inspection Laboratory
The Physical Attribute and Inspection lab is responsible for sampling, inspection and release of all raw and packaging materials, and finished drug products.
