Letter from the Vice President
Dear Colleagues in the Healthcare Sector
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. Since that first “step” we took ten years ago, we are convinced more and more that we took the right step in the right place and among the right people.
Thanks to your trust in Arwan and its products, we were able to enrich our portfolio with more strategic products and gain the confidence of the Governmental Sector where our products are saving lives of chronic patients and saving budgets as well. Proudly, we can say that Arwan paved its way to success amidst the tough competition in our area and the surrounding tough uncertainties. Now that we are not far from the “thousand miles”, we are able to foresee “thousands and thousands of miles” to pursue.
Thus, after 10 years, we are not far from our vision of expanding the horizon of the pharmaceutical industry in the Arab World beyond traditional medicine. We succeeded, in spite of all the hindering factors, to have a foothold in biotechnology, launching our first biological product while other molecules are in the pipeline undergoing the needed studies for their launches.
We are also on the right track of fulfilling our mission. Our quality, life-saving, cost-effective products have been serving patients and institutions; more than 150 job opportunities have been created in Lebanon and the neighboring countries, recruiting and training high-caliber employees; our facilities and laboratories have served students by providing a platform for their research and education; in addition, products labeled “Made in Lebanon” have been shipped with pride for more than 14 countries so far.
All the above have been achieved while maintaining our core values and competencies, implementing our best practices to offer our patients quality affordable medicine and participating in the wellbeing of our society.
