In December 2010, before launching its activities, Arwan established the Arwan Advisory Board (AAB) as part of its vision to strengthen its corporate governance through expert medical and pharmaceutical advice.

The AAB plays a key role in advising the company’s strategies in selecting and promoting its products and developing clinical programs. It provides the company with valuable guidance on a variety of managerial topics, including new therapeutic trends and approaches under the rapidly changing environment surrounding the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Atiyeh, Bishara

  Dr. Bishara Atiyeh is a Clinical Professor, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, at the American University of Beirut Medical Center among other titles. Dr Atiyeh graduated from the American University of Beirut, got his plastic surgery training from the Mc Gill University of Montreal and his fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology from Rosewell Park Memorial Institute of Buffalo. Dr Atiyeh is the current President of the Euro-Mediterranean Council for Burns and Fire Disasters, President of the Lebanese Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery and the Executive Editor of the Annals of Burns and Fire Disasters.
 Dr. Atiyeh is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board, International Confederation of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS) holding the position of Chairman of Training and accreditation.
Dr Atiyeh has organized several local, regional and international congresses and instructional courses and was invited as a guest speaker to more than 100 conferences; he is as well the author of more than 120 scientific publications  and chapters in reference books

Dr. Dagher, Fadi

  Dr. Fadi Dagher is a board certified member of the American Board of Surgery. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Lebanese University Medical School in 1989, his training in surgery from the State University of New York in Buffalo and his training in transplant surgery from the Ross University Medical School in Buffalo.
Dr. Dagher is the President of Hinds Medical in NY and the Chairman of the North American Lebanese Medical Association. He has received  many awards including the American Patients’ Choice Award in 2010 and 2009, and the America’s Top Surgeons Award in 2008. Dr Dagher is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, and has many publications to his name.

Dr. Dajani, Asa’d

  Dr. Asa’d Dajani is a Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist currently working at a private practice in the United Arab Emirates with visiting rights at Al Zahra Hospital and Zuleikha Hospital in Sharjah and Dowali Hospital in Dubai. Dr. Dajani was certified to practice Internal Medicine as a specialist from the Jordanian council in Amman. Before that, he graduated from the University of Vienna 1981-1984, where he received his Diploma of Specialized Medicine in Gastroenterology and attended postgraduate training in Edinburgh (UK) 1979-1981 after graduating from the Cairo University in 1975.
Dr Dajani is a member of many local, regional and international dedicated gastrointestinal associations and has organized many regional scientific conferences.
Above all that, Dr. Dajani has been the Vice President of AMAGE for the Gulf area (Africa and Middle East Association of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy) among numerous other honors. Dr. Dajani is a frequent invited speaker at many local and international scientific meetings and conferences and has more than 50 scientific publications.

Professor Harron, Dean

Professor Dean Harron, Ph D, is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the School of Pharmacy in Queens University, Belfast since 1998.  Prior to that, he held numerous academic positions in the Department of Therapeutics and Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Queens University Belfast.  This was followed by a period between 1992 and 1998 when he was Professor and Chairman of the department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, United Arab Emirates University, Al Ain.
Professor Harron has taken active roles in many regional conferences in the MENA where he has lectured as a key note speaker adding value to the CVs of many healthcare professionals through his CME-hour credits.  Professor Harron has consultancy interests in Cardiovascular Drug Development Clinical Trials, Academic Course Development in Pharmacology for Medicine and Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Care among others.
Professor Harron has a wealth of publications, including more than 250 Abstracts and Papers, 11 books and 7 Book chapters

Dr. Khadra, Wiam

  Dr. Wiam Khadra PhD, is a member of The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion(ABCP), and member of The Academy of Cardiovascular  Perfusion(AACP). In addition to receiving his Doctorate from LaSalle University in 1997, Dr. Khadra attained his Master Degrees in Pharmacology and Cardiovascular Medical Science from the University of Arizona, College of Medicine in 1994. Currently, Dr. Khadra is a Research Assistant Professor and teaching Faculty at the Department of Anesthesiology at The State University of New York at Buffalo, Director of the Department of Cardiac Perfusion at The VA Western New York (WNY) Healthcare System. Dr. Khadra has received numerous honors and awards for his contributions to the medical and pharmaceutical fields, chief among them the Performance Award VA WNY Healthcare system in 2007 and 2006, and Recognition Award VA WNY Healthcare System 2010. Dr. Khadra’s research interest is mainly in the cardiovascular and anesthesiology field, focusing on both the pharmacological and physiological aspects. He has many publications to his name.

Dr. Mousa, Youssef

Dr. Youssef Moussa is a member of the Syrian Urologic Committee, Ministry of Health, and is the Head of the Resident`s Rehabitation and Training Department, Aleppo Health Department, and a member of the European Association of Urology. 
Dr. Moussa is a graduate of the Syrian University where he also received his Master degree in Urology. He has organized and participated in many local and International scientific conferences and has many publications in his domain.

Dr. Tabbarah, Zuhayr

  Dr. Zuhayr Tabbarah received his MD from the American University of Beirut and completed his residencyin Internal Medicine  at Rutgers Medical School, New Jersey and then his felowship in Infectious Diseases at Indiana University School of Medicine.
Dr. Tabbarah is a Clinical Assoiciate  Professor of  Medicine at the American University of Beirut and is the Chief Executive Medical Officer at Rafik Hariri University Hospital, among other titles
Dr. Tabbarah is a Medical Examiner for the Arab Board of Internal medicine since 1996. He is a Founding member and Vice-president of East Mediterranean Network Of  Sexually Transmitted Infections Control (EMNOSTIC)- Tunis since 2006. Dr. Tabbarah has been a member in several councils, committees and societies.
Dr. Tabbarah has published and reviewed many articles in peer reviewed journals and participated in many regional and international conferences. His incessant efforts led him to organize the establishment of Clinical Research Unit at Rafik Hariri University Hospital  in June 2008. At present, he has an active role in many clinical research studies and is the principle investigator for several international studies, focusing on his particular interests in Infectious Diseases; CUTI, CIAI, Influenza, MRSA Invasive Fungal Diseases, Candida Infections  and other Clinical Researches.

Dr. Zaitoun, Fares

Dr. Fares Zaitoun is an American Trained and Board Certified Allergy/Immunology Specialist. After his internship and residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, he received his Allergy/Immunology fellowship training at the Medical College of Georgia. For the past 12 years, Dr. Zaitoun has been practicing Allergy/Immunology in a private-based academic setting in Lebanon as the Director of the Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Center and a Faculty Associate at the American University Hospital in Beirut. He is also a Visiting Consultant at the Advanced Cure Diagnostic Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Dr Zaitoun is a Past President of the Lebanese Society of Allergy & Immunology and the Founder and Chairman of the Lebanese National Aerobiology Project. Dr Zaitoun is a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI), a board member of its International Committee and the 2011 recipient of the ACAAI International Distinguished Fellow Award. Furthermore, Dr Zaitoun is an active member of the World Allergy Organization (WAO), a member of its Web Editorial Board and Communications Council Committees and the Co-Chairman of the WAO Aeroallergen Committee.
Dr. Zaitoun has organized and chaired several national and regional Allergy/Immunology Congresses and is a frequent invited speaker. He has published several abstracts and full articles. Current research interests include Allergen Immunotherapy, Anaphylaxis, Aerobiology and Indoor Environmental Allergy & Pollution. 

Dr. Zakaria, Serag

  Dr. Serag Zakaria is the Chairman of the Tropical Medicine and Hepatogastroenterology Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, and the Chairman of Alsafwa Private General Hospital in Cairo.
Dr Zakaria is a graduate of the Cairo University where he also received his MD in Hepato-Gastroenterology and Infectious diseases. He has been honored by many awards during his career due to his active participation in many research projects that dealt with the epidemics of the State. Among those awards is The State Prize in Paediatric Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Award in 1988.
Dr Zakaria is an honorary member of the British Society of Gastroenterology.   
He was elected as a member of the board and then as vice president of the ESGE (the European society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 2000-2006) representing the Middle East.
In addition to his teaching duties as a university professor, Dr Zakaria has embarked on several teaching programs in collaboration with the Egyptian Government and international bodies; most prominent is acting as principle investigator of a big training project for doctors, nurses and lab technicians supervised by the Ministry of Health and funded by the Social Fund for Development in Giza Governorate.
Dr. Zakaria has a huge list of papers published in Egyptian as well as International periodicals in Tropical medicine, Hepatology, Gastrointestinal endoscopy (diagnosis and therapy) and Pediatric Gastroenterology to his name.
